ORGANIZATION’S BACKGROUND

Founded in 1969, International Education Research Foundation (IERF) focuses on providing US educational equivalency reports for students, scholars, and professionals who completed their studies abroad. IERF is a not-for-profit organization registered in the State of California.

JOB DESCRIPTION

IERF is seeking an evaluator to assist with typing course breakdowns, converting units and grades, and calculating GPAs. The evaluator/evaluator will also help research foreign educational systems, checking programs of study completed abroad, along with the accreditation of the educational providers. Training will be provided.

This position is available either in our Culver City office and or, possibly, via telecommuting (remote work).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

  • U.S. bachelor's degree or the equivalent
  • Foreign language skill/s preferred (all levels considered)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both in oral and written form
  • Analytical and research skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail, including meticulous proofreading skills
  • Ability to type a minimum of 60 words per minute
  • Experience with the 2013 MS Office Suite, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to prioritize duties, multi-task in a fast-paced environment and apply common sense when carrying out duties
  • Professional experience in translations and/or copy-editing preferred, but not required
  • Study abroad experience also preferred, but not required
